Somatic Therapy for Sensitive Systems

Coming home to your body after trauma, shutdown, or sensory overwhelm

There’s a reason why talking about it hasn’t been enough.

When you’ve lived through trauma, or you’re neurodivergent in a world that constantly overwhelms your senses, your body starts to carry the things your words can’t say.

You freeze.
You dissociate.
You go through the motions while feeling like you’re floating five feet above yourself.

Somatic therapy gently helps you come back.

🌿 What Is Somatic Therapy?

Somatic therapy is body-based healing. It supports you in noticing, feeling, and processing what’s happening inside your body—at a pace that feels safe.

Instead of staying in your head, we focus on:

  • Nervous system regulation

  • Noticing body sensations without judgment

  • Releasing trauma patterns stored in muscles, fascia, or breath

  • Learning to feel safe again in your own skin

It’s not about fixing you—it’s about building relationship with your body. One that’s based in curiosity, compassion, and deep listening.

🌀 Why It Helps ADHD, Autism, and PTSD

If you’ve ever felt:

  • Stuck in freeze or shut down

  • Chronically tense, dissociated, or disconnected

  • Easily overwhelmed by sensory input

  • Like your emotions are “too much” or go from 0 to 100

  • Tired of masking, numbing, or trying to explain yourself...

Somatic therapy can offer a way through that doesn’t rely on words alone.

We work with your felt sense—the subtle internal cues, textures, and shifts that your body already knows but may have learned to ignore or override.

🧘‍♀️ What a Session Looks Like

Every session is designed to meet you where you are.

You might sit or lie down. You can fidget, stim, hold grounding objects, or move gently. I guide you with prompts like:

  • “Can you notice where you feel that in your body?”

  • “Is there a part of you that needs more space right now?”

  • “What does your body want to do next, if anything?”

You’ll never be pushed.
You’ll always be in control.
And silence is always welcome.

Some sessions may include breathwork, grounding, or visualizations to support regulation. Others may focus on noticing patterns and gently shifting them, together.

💛 For the Ones Who Feel Disconnected

If you’ve spent years living in survival mode, running on adrenaline, or ignoring your own needs—this work is for you.

Somatic therapy can help you:

  • Feel safer in your body

  • Reduce anxiety and emotional reactivity

  • Understand your sensory needs

  • Set embodied boundaries

  • Reclaim softness and rest

Healing doesn’t have to be loud.
Sometimes, it sounds like your own breath.
Sometimes, it begins with a single sensation.
